Maybe the best combination of size, athleticism, and
strength in the 2011 OL class. For the most part, he
dominates his defender and his side of the line. Elite
talent in pass protection. Gets off the snap well and
has very nice technique in his slide. Good hand use and
extension against pass rushers. Quick feet that help him
have good lateral movement. Plays with great balance and
finishes blocks well. Displays a mean streak in the
running game, but could use a little coaching in his
drive blocking.
Translation to College:
Ready to contribute right away as a left tackle. He's in
the upper echelon of pass protecting left tackles in
college the minute he arrives. If Collins stays healthy,
there is a good possibility he's gone after his junior
season.
